Northgate Managed Services Receives Prestigious ‘BIG TICK’ Award and is Shortlisted for a Chance to be Crowned Overall Winner

Out of hundreds of entries, Northgate Managed Services is honoured in the UK’s leading awards for responsible business practice, run by Business in the Community

Northgate Managed Services is delighted to receive the Business in the Community’s (BITC) coveted National Big Tick for its Workplace Talent and Skills development. The Big Tick award is the first level of award available to entrants to the national Awards for Excellence, which commends the best examples of business as a force for good.

Northgate’s programme was also shortlisted for a chance to be crowned the overall winner in the Workplace Talent and Skill’s category and will present their entry to a panel of expert judges in June. The final results will be announced at the Awards for Excellence Gala Event on 27 June in London.

Business in the Community’s Awards for Excellence recognise the powerful and positive role that business is playing in local communities by awarding companies for the impact and innovation of their responsible business programmes across a number of categories. The awards are given to companies who demonstrate their leadership on the key social and environmental issues where business can make a difference at local, national and international levels.

Northgate were presented with its Big Tick award at a Gala Dinner in the Titanic building and announced in a supplement in the Financial Times on 30 May 2012. The best of the National Big Tick winners go forward to judging panels to identify an overall winner in each category. The overall winners will be announced in London at the Awards for Excellence Gala Event on 27 June 2012.

As part of BITC’s 30th anniversary the 2012 Awards for Excellence will challenge businesses to do more, make a bigger difference and place responsible business at the heart of how they plan for the long term.
