Leadership Team

 

Ed Brown

Managing Director

Ed has over 25 years’ experience in the provision of IT services and solutions across a wide range of industry sectors. These include local and regional government, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products and professional services sectors. Prior to joining Capita Managed IT Solutions in 2005, Ed was a partner in the national IT consulting practice of Deloitte, the largest of the UK’s Big Four accountancy firms. He also spent ten years in Accenture where he held a senior manager position in the UK and Ireland Consultancy practice. Ed has spent a number of years on the Management Board of Momentum, the trade body for the ICT industry in Northern Ireland and held the position of chairman for several years.

 

Gary Adams

Finance Director

Gary qualified as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton before starting his career in the IT industry back in 2000. He began his career in the IT industry as a business analyst involved in the acquisition and integration of a number of UK companies before moving into a Finance Director role with one of the business units for a number of years. He has spent a number of years in the business running the operations for a number of the large managed service accounts and support services business, and a number of years as Service Management Director where he consolidated a number of disparate service desks and processes into a shared service environment. After gaining this wider business experience, Gary returned to finance back in 2013 just prior to the Capita acquisition, and led the transition of the business onto Capita’s SAP system and now leads a very capable professional finance team. Gary remains a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

 

Caroline Fulton

Commercial Director

Caroline started working life with IBM in finance, qualifying as an accountant and progressing through multiple accounting staff and management roles. In 1999 she spent 4 years in the US initially working for a small IT consultancy company and then IBM. Returning to the UK in 2003, Caroline re-joined IBM and spent a further couple of years in finance before moving into Commercial Management where she has focused over the last 8 years. In 2014, Caroline moved to Capita to take on the Commercial Management role on the West Sussex account, progressing to the Local Government Portfolio Commercial Lead at the start of 2015, and the Managed Services Commercial Director a few months later before joining Capita Managed IT Solutions in April 2016.

 

David Richmond

Operations Director, NI Education Service Delivery

David's role is Operations Director for NI Education.

 

Ciaran Barr

Director ICT Shared Services

Ciaran has 18 years’ experience in the IT industry and has worked in numerous areas within the IT sector. Since graduating, with a degree in Computer Science, Ciaran has held a number of technical roles ranging from Software Development in BT Labs, to Systems Manager in Bombardier Aerospace. Prior to joining Capita (then SX3) in 1999, Ciaran has lead significant technical projects for the commercial customer base and his current role is Director of ICT Services. He is currently responsible for the leadership of technical service delivery, management of application services, network services, professional services and Solutions Architects for all of Capita commercial and third sector customers.

 

Peter Low

Support Services Director

Peter is an ITIL accredited Senior Manager with over 24 years’ experience in Hardware Support Maintenance in the Mission Critical and Break-fix arena across a wide range of industry sectors including military, public services, police, local government and financial services. Peter prides himself of delivering services that achieve value for money and high levels of customer satisfaction. Prior to joining Capita Managed IT Solutions in 1998, Peter spent 10 years running his own Mobile Repair Company in London.

 

David Brown

Service Management Director

David has 30 years’ experience in the provision of IT services and solutions across a wide range of industry sectors including manufacturing and distribution, aerospace and defence, local government and financial services. Prior to joining Capita Managed IT Solutions in 2013, David spent 9 years as Group IT Director with United Dairy Farmers. Before that David had been VP of Professional Services for Avalanche Technology, a near-shoring IT Services start-up in Northern Ireland, for 2 years. This was after a 5 year period as Group Head of IT for Boxmore International PLC. He started his career with Accenture where he spent 9 years and held a senior management position in the UK and Ireland Consultancy practice.

 

James Devlin

Client Services Director

James has over 35 years’ experience working in telecoms and ICT businesses. This has included a range of sales and business management roles. He has worked in a wide spectrum of markets including Consumer, SME, Corporate and Public sectors. James spent the majority of his career working in a range of roles with BT Plc before moving to Invest Northern Ireland for 2 years where he focussed on customer management including developing and implementing a global customer service programme. James joined Capita in March 2015 and is responsible for leadership of the Regional team including Sales and Client Service management. James has attained the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction and is a fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.
